• Artificial Owl Artificial Owl is a site dedicated to provide a selection of the most fascinating abandoned man-made creations. 

• Scribble Maps – Draw on google maps with scribblings and more! Another Google Maps mashup that allows you to mark and draw on maps online. Using this site you can scribble, draw lines, arrows, add text, shapes and markers to any area map. Afterwards maps can be quickly shared with others by forwarding them a link or embedding maps on other webpages. The maps can be also downloaded as KML/GPX file. 

• What Should I Read Next? Enter a book you like and this site will analyze their database of real readers’ favorite books to suggest what you could read next.  ,

• Making the Modern World Historical look at how technology has changed and influenced the modern world. Stories, tours, timelines on various matters in the modern world. Extending from about the 1600s until now, there are articles on technology, conflicts, women, health, science and geography. It has a UK bent but is thorough, attractive and great for student use. 

• Disney Star Wars Weekend Posters are Awesome! (13 Total) – My Modern Metropolis Disney has devised a set of whimsical “backstage” posters to promote awareness of 2009′s Star Wars Weekends event among employees, images not generally made available to the public. You can also see some hilarious posters from years past below. This year’s: Past Years: Airport Duratrans from 2007 and 2006 Star Wars Weekend website.

NASA’s Do-It-Yourself Podcast activity sets the stage for students to host a show that features astronauts training for missions, doing experiments in space or demonstrating equipment. We’ll provide a set of audio and video clips along with photos and information about a space-related topic. You and your students may choose as many items as you want to include in your project and download them to your computer. Students may use the information we provide or conduct their own research to write a script for an audio or video production.
