• TidyRead – A Faster and Leaner Mobile Reading Experience this is a solution that intends to make reading from the web more enjoyable again by stripping sites of all the clutter and formatting the text for easy reading. The implementation of such a system is certainly easy, as all you have to do is furnish the URL of the page or blog post that you desire to delve upon and hit the “TidyRead It” button. Alternatively, you can resort to the provided bookmarklet and format pages from the comfort of your preferred browser. All the major current web browsers are supported, and there is also a small section detailing how to install the bookmarklet just in case.

• Milburn – Plugins The Drop Caps plugin lets you add a customized drop cap to each of your posts and pages (or even comments and other excerpts), similar to what’s commonly done in print publications. It can also be used to create other types of initials. The plugin has been tested with WP 2.3 up through 2.7.1.

• Photo Tampering Throughout History A good collection of digital photo manipulation in mass media imagery. Compiled by Dr. Hany Farid from Dartmouth. Gathering together around 150 years of photo manipulations, some better than others, this page helps put things in a bit of perspective. It has gathered together over 100 years of photo manipulations. Some are better than others but this page shows that it has gone on for a long time

• Little Green Footballs – Reuters Doctoring Photos from Beirut? Reuters photograph shows blatant evidence of manipulation. This watchdog blog shows how Reuters sloppily photoshopped photos of the damage in Lebanon.

• WebSlides – Turning bookmarks and feeds into interactive slideshows… WebSlides is an interesting tool which enables you to display a group of bookmarks directly as an embed in your site or as in this case as a link to a slideshow. Each of the bookmarked sites is active within the slide window with any annotations and/or sticky notes also active. Clicking on any links within the displayed page will open the link in a new tab on your browser.
